After he won custody of Avery, Sonny’s daughter, he hired Sabrina Santiago (Teresa Castillo) to be her nanny. The two started dating and soon after Sabrina discovered she was pregnant. Michael was excited to be a father but was frustrated to find out the baby wasn’t his.

Sabrina left town before they could talk things out and left a note saying she wasn’t coming back. However, when Sonny and Michael rescued her from captivity, they rekindled their relationship. Sadly, their reunion was short-lived following Sabrina’s murder.
