In 1939, Taylor was moved to Los Angeles, United States of America. She later landed a film contract from the Universal Pictures. In 1942, she was given a minor role in the movie titled ‘One Born Every Minute.’ However, her contract was terminated one year later.

Taylor’s star shown brighter in 1944 when she was signed by ‘Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’ and was given the National Velvet role that made her the most popular teenage star of the studio.

Elizabeth played a big role in the production of the movie Cleopatra. She also did V.I.Ps in 1963, “The Sandpiper” she did in 1965.
