Kiely Williams, alongside Adrienne Bailon and Naturi Naughton, formed the RnB group 3LW in 1999. They signed for Epic records and went on to make several great tracks: Baby I’ma Do Right, Playas Gon’ Play, Parents Just Don’t Understand, What More Can I Give, Uh Oh, Never Let Go, I Do (Wanna Get Close To You) and A Girl Can Mack.
Around the time when they were making A Girl Can Mack, Naturi left the trio after falling out with the other two. The remaining two carried on as a solo act and soon after, realized that the departure of Naturi had led to their popularity dwindling. The pair eventually found a replacement in 2003, Jessica Benson, after a nationwide search.
