Well, the answer to this question is ‘Yes.’ Ami Brown was battling from stage III lung cancer back in 2017 and left the show for her treatment. At the moment, doctors gave three percent survival chance to her.
UCLA’s doctors stated that Ami Brown was diagnosed with Stage III non-small cell lung cancer in April 2017.
Now, the reality star is living happily and healthy with her family. After the four months of chemotherapy with radiation, Ami is now in remission.
While undergoing her treatment, Ami and husband moved to Washington from Alaska, to be closer to the hospital. It meant that the entire show of ‘Alaskan Bush People‘ will also have to move their location to Colorado now. So, now the show is based on the mountain forest wilderness of Washington where the Brown family lives within 400 acres of property.
But as the Brown family decided to leave Alaska, this affected the show’s ratings as well as fans showed distaste to this decision. However, Billy Brown and the family’s main concern was the proper treatment, which was not possible in Alaska. So they carried on with their choice as Ami was treated in the UCLA Medical Center.
During the mother’s day, Alaskan Bush People took to Instagram to wished a Happy Mother’s Day to Ami along with a picture of Ami and her son Matt.

Now, Ami Brown is cancer-free, totally healthy and has relocated to Washington City permanently. They left their longtime home of rural Alaska forever. At present, Ami and Billy both are restarting their new life in a new place and looking forward to being together for many years.
She told People magazine that it was horrifying, during her treatment but she never gave up. However, Ami flew back to California every three months for the regular check-up.
The reality star credits herself for staying positive and the care she received during her treatment.
Also, the Alaskan Bush Star admitted that the treatment was painful and took a toll on her body and loss massive weight at the time. When Ami appeared on a special Christmas episode of Alaskan Bush People, all the audience stand up as soon as she shared her story on the show in 2017.
How is Ami Brown Doing Now?
People also told that Billy Brown purchased their new home of 435 acres in rural Washington. Ami and Billy are living together with their seven kids. As of now, they are out of the limelight, and there is no further information about them.
